Heralded by the bards' lauds,
Neither tainted by poetasters' frauds,
Champions the Muse's animation,
Of hard-earned Inspiration.
But the Muse is not an nymph wandering,
In ether of unattainable pondering,
Nor is she boxed in the scholar's secluded loft.
The muse wells from within the friend loyal
A friend is worth more than the time-revered Royal.
For who breathes the muse' life existing?
The friend! The comrade in arms with words enlisting,
For pens we wield as swords
And as smiths we forge onto the anvil words.
Fraternity's undying light,
Lighting the path and awakening,
The muse each soul carries in life's flight
Reckoning the forces external and hostile
Of banes and detractors erstwhile-
Who can birth inspiration's vivacity without end?
Who is the muse but the friend?
Who inspires and props the spirit but the friend?
Who can bear the errant but the friend?
Who can be the muse but the friend?

Thought the years, our friendship as reciprocated one another through encouragement, support and inspiration.
Likewise, we all appreciate how our mutual friendships have fostered our creative lives.
Through the community, we have all matured and flourished in our own craft- whether be it art, craftsmanship, or writing.
Ruminating on such a premise, this poem is inspired by how friendship can serve as the ultimate muse.
