Straight, Proud and Handsome

As much as we marvel at the ethereal delicacy of blossoms, the rough, gnarled dark bark of the trunks offer a complimentary contrast- perhaps God intended nature to show us contrasts to remind us of the balance of life- just as we have lace-like blossoms, we must also not forget the abrasive bark which shields the tree itself.
